A quick guided setup creates your vault and a private key. Choose a PIN and turn on Face ID or Touch ID. Your master key is generated on-device and never leaves it.

Pick a disguise skin — calculator, timer, notes, weather, and more. The app (and even its home-screen icon) can look like an everyday utility, so a quick glance never reveals a vault.

When is Clóca launching?

How is my data protected?

Every item is encrypted with AES-256-GCM on your device before it's stored. Your master key is derived from your PIN and kept in the device Keychain — it's never stored in plaintext and never sent anywhere.

What is the privacy screen / disguise feature?

Clóca can present as an ordinary utility — a calculator, timer, notes app, and more — so a quick glance over your shoulder doesn't reveal that you're using a vault. A private gesture you choose brings the real vault back.

Do I need an account or a subscription?

No. There's no sign-up and no subscription. Clóca is a one-time purchase, and your vault PIN is created by you during setup — there are no credentials on any server.

Does my data go to the cloud?

Only if you choose. By default everything stays on your device. If you enable sync, it runs through your own private iCloud and data is uploaded already encrypted — there are no Clóca servers involved.

What's the decoy vault?

An optional second PIN that opens a separate, ordinary-looking vault backed by its own database. It's a private way to keep your real contents fully separate from what you might show someone.

What happens if I forget my PIN?

Because your data is encrypted with a key derived from your PIN and never leaves your device, we can't recover it for you. That's what keeps it private — so keep your PIN safe.
